Role Description:
Key responsibilities will be across the entire project lifecycle, including:
- Working closely with onshore Business Analysts in the Plan function to define and scope the regression testing required for key Investment Banking software;
- The Design and Development of a robust and efficient set of regression testing suites that have a high level of functionality coverage;
- Working closely with business & technical sponsors to derive test requirements and ensure the test coverage is acceptable;
- Ensuring that the regression packs are well written for ease of execution and automation where appropriate.
- Working closely with the Test Team Leader to plan testing approach and effort on projects;
- Providing input to the development of the testing processes;
- Taking ownership of test process improvement initiatives and driving them through to completion.
- Producing estimates for testing effort;
- Maintenance and execution of the regression testing suite;
- Reporting defects in a clear and concise way;
- Working with the technical teams to help resolve issues;
The successful candidate can expect to develop:
- A good understanding of derivatives trade processing across assets (Equity, Credit, Commodities)
- Expanded testing & technical skills.
- Experience of working in a global team on a global application with several thousand users
Core Testing Skills (Must have)
- A sound understanding of the principles of software testing and demonstrate continued learning;
- Proven experience of working in software testing using a variety of techniques & tools;
- Experience of working in a multi site onshore-offshore team model;
- Extensive experience of Test Analysis, Test Design; Test Execution and Defect Management across a number of large scale projects;
- Proven ability to understand and interpret complex business systems;
- Proven ability to understand the technical integrations systems;
- Strong problem solving & communication skills;
- Ability to develop strong working relationships;
- A meticulous & thorough approach to work balanced with a strong focus on hitting deadlines;
- Good planning skills and ability to co-ordinate testing activities;
- Ability to manage your own time and task assigned to others;
- Proven experience in reporting progress in a clear way;
- Team working skills are essential;
- A flexible and adaptable attitude with the ability to travel as required;
- Pragmatism.
- Hours of Work / Shift Timings in India
- Core Hours 10:00 to 20:00 local time
- Ability to log in from home as required
- Availability to Support NA & APAC working hours during Test Execution
Education
Bachelors degree
General
Minimum of 3-5 years overall experience of Testing on C++ applications
