As per my knowledge, every person requires his technical skills to be shown at the right time. But at the same time you need to be very careful at your attitude and way of talking to each other in your team. But some things might be happened like if you do good also, they may not look at you because of your interaction with each other. So I suggest you to communicate with your team lead or whoever the person have been forcing you to be in sad mood.
