Out of these approximately half of the testing work will be outsourced to India – according to Mr. Gopalakrishnan. That’s great news for Indian software testers.

    Is it by 2010? or 2020? 😛

U.S Recression has nothing to do with you not getting interview calls, Recruitment is still going
on in a large scale, because india is not depended completly on US any more. They have entered new
market like UK,Australia, Singapore and Middle east. Where lots of potential oppurtunites
    exist.
What i can suggest you is to try changing your resume format , maybe update or gather new
skills which are in demand and i dont see any reason why you wont get interview calls.

  21. Hi Tina,

SQTL is good institute and having dood faculties in andheri center.
but I think you can clear interview by reading notes from sqtl and no need to join institute if you have experience in sw industry.
You can easily get into testing by reading notes from SQTL those are very good.
also you can preapre for ISTQB and CSI exams both cost 4000 and 1000 Rs.
Very standard questions answers in exam and you can clear easily if you preapare for 4-5 days.

I belong to delhi, and observed the calls for 3+ yrs. experience and r for the location chennai, banglore, pune. As u told above to learn new technology, that I do agree, most of the companies r in demand of automation tools mainly qtp.

So would you please suggest me as I am too much confused, whether I sould learn qtp to become upto company standard as companies are hiring exp people on qtp.

    Thanks

  26. Dear Kavita,
I do see that you have limited your search options till Delhi.
No doubt that QTP is one of the hot cake in the market today. But once again companies
prefer working knowledge more than theoretical knowledge. Still that is not the end of
    world.
To set things clear, Learning QTP is certainly a plus in your resume, but manual testing did not
die also, it still exist everywhere. since your a manual tester, you still have option to get a job
in any company. just try to highlight the kind of work your done and the skill you pose in a
better way in your resume. I personally feel its the resume which maybe a issue in your case.

Learning QTP is not a ticket for getting a job. It certainly helps though.

Please let me know if you need further clarification

  35. Hi all ,

I am developer by the way 🙂 . And I love testers. If there was no tester for the website in my company, client would have killed us. Because there were many issues that ONLY Tester could find. I just wonder if you follow same way in your life too? I mean ALWAYS finding error in something, error in what other people do. For example you would be saying to your wife : “Hi Janhavi, food has 10% less salt today as compared to yesterday” like this just for example. Please let me know is your daily routine like this only?

You can reach me , I am on stackoverflow (With very good reputation points 🙂 ) . My contact details are given there.

And dont be disappointed, I just have 1 advice for you guys. Please use English properly. You have LOTS of grammatical , spelling mistakes. Learn from it, and do some testing on yourself too dont just judge other people only.

This is a great news and an expected one. As today’s web technologies emerging day by day, the complexity of developing a software project/product is a challenging one and no company can bypass the testing phase.
