“Pradeep – a Big name in testing”, why not, if you go on fighting with everyone on groups and blogs, definetly you will become famous. That is what is he is doing.
I have listen to the Pradeep’s podcast “tester’s tested”. He start off very well, asking different questions and putting across different views but the problem with this guys is that he don’t have any relevant answers to his own questions. You can google for the podcast and listen.

Dont comment anything about India . We are Indians and we do what we wanted …We learn from others mistakes as well thats testing ..so its not a place to take chance of telling bad about india and indians …We r there everywhere .. Soon our brain will be the master for everything .. just with the name developed ..be in past as developed …we keep developing ur nation as well

There is no doubt that u r talented then why u vesting u r talent in insulting people. If you r consultant then u should speak with others very politely. People always look for the talented people like u for enhance their knowledge but be polite that will help you a lot in u r life

Hi All,
I am working in a reputed company as a Sys. Admin & this is my second company. I was working as a Production & Testing Engg for 6 months. I pursed my career as a Sys. Admin & now i wanan change my domain to Testing. Can someone sugegst or advise how to switch over to testing domain. I have basic knowledge in testing too. Please get back to at the earliest.

Guys,

Why struggle with answers to such questions.
Testing is risky career, if you testing ,,well you are labelled negative and blocking timely delivery, if you go slack you get blamed for bad quality, if you do balancing act then you are puncihsed for not automating and reducing cost (all the cost reduction initiatives in IT projects are focussed on testing).
In india companies like tech mahindra in pune the HR and resourcing team feels anybody can do testing, so they introduced hire and fire in testing in the year 2009-2010. No tester is allowed to continue beyond one year test manager need to joing BPO group and run call center after one year as test manager.
So dont break heads trying to answer this kind of questions for which there are no one right answers. Get out of test career and get respect in job market.
More books have been written on soft ware testing methods and processes than software development and design methods and processes, indicating any body who to write book on IT can easilty write one on testing, that is why we end up like this with this kind numerous methodolgies which get us no where in testing

You guys are foolish to question Pradeep. This guy comes here and tells you why the answers are insufficient and gives examples of what might be sufficient, but I see so many complaints about hurt feelings. Grow up. Don’t say “Well you were mean in the way you corrected my mistake.” That’s what a child says when scolded. BTW Pradeep seems to be the 1/2 on here who types competently as well.

I respect your confidence and command on the subject. I would appreciate if you can guide the fellow friends out here with more thoughtful questions not necessarily just for the sake of interviews but also to share the experience and knowledge. “Knowledge is divine”
Also I recommend you accepting the emotional angle of the fellow friends out her.

The questions posted were good, Testing involves lot of subjectivity, not necessary that you find a specific answer for the questions, coz it is a not a math where u have only one answer. Though Pradeep’s comments were bit rude, but have the thought in it. No matter Pradeep change his style or not, let’s move on with healthy discussions and knowledge transfers.

My sincere thanks to all my friends out here who posted the questions and who provided the valuable comments to the questions and answers posted.
