In response to vaishali’s question in February, which is too late for him, but others may have the same question, I’ll give my opinion. His question was: “outside Training for ISTQB is required or self study is enough?”
Answer: Outside training is not required to take the Foundation and Advanced level tests. To pass, you need to be very familiar with the syllabus for the test you will take. You can achieve that by self study. It’s probably not sufficient to be an experienced tester, since many of the questions specifically ask about information in the syllabus. Of course, any training course which is based on the syllabus will help you learn those concepts better as well as answer questions that you may have when you read the syllabus.

Hi chaitanya. The answer should be “a. ” The question is trying to note that a tester is not expected to go to the code, debug it, then write the change(s) needed to fix the bug in the incident report.
